Selfish beyond belief. They should be made to pay that out of their own pockets.

Bibliogryphon 9,588 Posted November 23 Reform MP James McMurdock was convicted of domestic violence but this was not revealed during the election process. Not sure where this sits legally but it is not a good look

He's now 38, has subsequently married another woman and has 4 kids with her. 3) Has had no run ins with the police since. Short answer is no, nothing will come out of it.

Doesn't matter if it was a push or a kick (or multiple kicks), the charge would have been the same. The sentence was carried out and he was punished as a young offender. I strongly believe in rehabilitation and second chances for everyone. The ONLY issue I have in any of this was that it wasn't declared publicly before he ran for election. But he's not the only one sitting in either Houses of Parliament with a conviction of some kind, and it's unfair to focus on a single individual. It's a completely different matter if someone commits a crime WHILST an MP and hasn't yet been punished for it yet. Enter Labour's Mike Amesbury...
The Old Crem 3,608 Posted 21 hours ago How long till there is a by election in Sheffield Heeley. Can’t imaging Labout will be keen for one even through it doesn’t seem a seat the Tories or Reform could win even with Labour’s current bad poll ratings. Can you explain to me why you think it’s grounds to resign as an MP? I feel sorry for her. Not her fault. Starmer knew about it and gave her the post anyway. He should bloody resign, not her. Starmer knew about it and gave her the post anyway. He should bloody resign, not her. It's ridiculous that she feels she has to resign. She made a mistake, that's all. I did something very similar after a burglary. I listed a piece of jewellery among the stolen items, just a seed pearl brooch, not very valuable. I genuinely thought it had been taken. Claimed on insurance and then it turned up some months later in a coat pocket.
