Canadian Paul 93 Posted March 24, 2006 Didn't know where else to put this, didn't want to start a new thread, and was slightly curious as to what people thought of Muhammed Zahir Shah anyways, but only a fairly irrelevant note, this man faces the death penalty for rejecting Islam in Afghanistan. He is in poor health, but made a reasonably long speech at the opening of the Afghan Parliament at the turn of year, so I'm thinking more long-term (autumn-winter) at the moment. He is in poor health, but made a reasonably long speech at the opening of the Afghan Parliament at the turn of year, so I'm thinking more long-term (autumn-winter) at the moment. Well, despite my DDP purposes, I'd settle for peacefully in his sleep meself. But if Stroessner, Papon or Haughey, for example were to meet a violent end, now that would be another story....
