Captain Oates 21 Posted July 17, 2005 Shame this site is no longer updated Strange Deaths Archive Go take a look. Well, that's certainly a list of bizarre and dreadful accidents (mostly)! I'm not sure whether swallowing a live octopus can be categorized as accidental, though. Perhaps that poor chap deserves a Darwin Award.

Anubis the Jackal 77 Posted July 18, 2005 Nasty. A man has died after apparently engaging in anal sex with a horse at a farm in Seattle, Washington. An autopsy revealed that the man, who has not been named, died due to perforation of the colon, said Sgt John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff's department. Washington is one of 17 US states where sex with animals is not illegal, though sex with smaller animals can be deemed to be a form of animal cruelty which is a crime. A police spokesman said the horse involved in the incident was not harmed.
Clive's NOT Dunn 7 Posted July 18, 2005 How about getting kicked in the face by a horse? That's what happened to my great great grandfather... According a book I read as a boy (before the op): During 1972 more people were kicked to death by Donkeys than died in flying accidents.
Teddy 21 Posted July 25, 2005 And the band played on Looking at a review of the band, I came across these quotes And boy can Patrick, the lead singer, move Not any more... Patrick come from behind the guitar and start jumping on the tables, knocking over candles, putting his face through the holes in the wall and through the floor Liam Gallagher can't dance or do acrobatic displays like that. But we wish he would try they and their acrobatic rock n roll is here to stay Famous last words

How can that be so if he follows Man U? Isn't it unusual for people to support a football team that is so far from their home town? Or am I being a bit old fashioned? How can that be so if he follows Man U? Isn't it unusual for people to support a football team that is so far from their home town? Or am I being a bit old fashioned. Not at all. I read somewhere that 90% of Manchester United 'fans' have never even been to Manchester never mind Old Trafford. Most of the playes are also foreign, as in not from the Greater Manchester area. I would have thought that a city of that size could cobble together 11 chaps who could play football. I always considered it lamentable that Yorkshire County Cricket Club changed the rules so that any Tom Dick or Harry could play, and not just those born in Yorkshire. My father (who lived away at the time) insisted that I was born within the Yorkshire area in case I should show any talent at cricket.

It was I who suggested it publicly, though I'm sure I wasn't the first to think of it. Now I am getting close to being hoist by my own petard unless the mods are friendly enough to do a bit of goalpost-moving from time to time.

Guest IYG Posted July 26, 2005 Well, when I was about 9 years old I saw my first football/soccer game on TV and it was Manchester United playing and that was when I fell in love with the team and have followed them ever since. There are other teams across Europe I also like but not as much as I like Mancheser United. And sadly I haven't been to Manchester yet.
