Rotten Ali 600 Posted September 1, 2005 Notapotato Posted on Sep 1 2005, 08:21 PM QUOTE (Rotten Ali @ Sep 1 2005, 10:13 PM) .......real job car design CAD engineer not mad scientist...... Oh, brilliant! Then you can answer a question which has been bugging me for a while: Why can't you get cars with square steering wheels any more? regards, Notapotato Funny you should ask! I worked for a time with Harris Mann (he of the Austin Allegro square steering wheel) - what a nice chap. Oh and all his engineering solutions were still spot on, so I don't fully understand how he came up with that idea! Putting this aside - notice the shape of F1 steering wheels have not been round for over ten years now so maybe he was the really well ahead of the game all this time. P.S. Its often said that the Allegro is more aerodynamic in reverse than driving forwards! I would like to help dismiss this rumour, even though I can't stand the car.

maryportfuncity 10,639 Posted September 2, 2005 Re that job predictor a few posts back. If I find the git who rigged it to make me a 'Housekeeper' my ideal job will become ruthless assassin. Then again, I typed in my real name and became a 'Superstar Goalscoring Hero.' Exciting but complete bollocks, I played football for years at the other end of the pitch, shutting out the goalscoring heroes.

Not only that after having nothing for so long, I was 'phoned today with the offer of a second full time job! Talk about two busses coming together! Congratulations on your new job, Rotten Ali! That quaterback, Payton Manning will be in the NFL hall of fame for sure.
