Dr Strangelove 14 Posted October 14, 2005 Hmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! Only one taker (so far) then? Make that two, I'd like my name changed to DrStrangelove please. Then my avatar will make some sense. Why not simply change your Avatar to this piccie? Because that's not me! I choose my name in a hurry, and I've come to think its pretty dumb now. Whereas the good apocalyptic Doctor, isn't that far way from the ethos of DeathList and seems ideal to me.
Dr Strangelove 14 Posted October 14, 2005 After having a quick google I must point out I'm not this Guesty either. Infact it turns out there are thousands of guestys, I never realised I thought in such an unoriginal and generic way.
Paul Bearer 6,101 Posted October 14, 2005 Hmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! Only one taker (so far) then? I'm thinking about it at the moment. I'm worried that if I do change I'll want to change back again. . Whilst I don't like my user name particularly, I've sort of got used to it. Oh, I'm all of a dither!!. Me too! honez 79 Posted October 15, 2005 Ye's N'oh! I've always parsed "Banshees Scream" as a two word sentence, 'Banshees' being the subject, and 'scream' being the verb. I see no reason for improvement. It could always be gramatically and typographically incorrect, with our illustrious member originally intending his moniker to be "Banshees's cream," which leaves me with this kind of mental image... or this

Strange.. I've never actually bothered to read this thread but little did i know i myself was being circled with much talk surrounding the future of my name? When i created this name i don't think i ever thought it would carry me to 813 posts. I've thought about changing it but not only could it not be done but what would i call my great self? It seems one member has allready done it. Janeo no long exsists but we have welcomed Lady Die. As for the young Honez - I somewhat regret my arguments with IYG accusing him of some things he most likely never did. I think i've found the member who would enjoy free icecream and cookies. I'm glad you have found your mental image of the great Banshees Scream Because i have also found mine of Honez I'm guessing Honez finds his deep interests in free cookies and ice cream because the most obvious and common reason is ma - ma doesn't allow him to eat sweets. http://images-partners.google.com/images?q...can-Veg-Boy.jpg

[shudders]Uncanny. You are almost spot on with that one.[/shudders] PS My mental image was not of the member, "Banshees' Cream," but of the many possible uses of the product "Banshees' Cream." It's not a tease at all, the Yeti started this thread and meant it but he/she has been having a lot of problems wth his/her ISP provider, give the Yeti a bit of space, I'm sure it will be resolved soon, but remember the first post states 'apart from windsor' though I am sure that has been added by the rogue editor! I think that only the Admins can change a members name. The only Admin to oblige has been DWB, and he hasn't been on for a few days. Patience, will bring it's own reward. I'm not sure about that. http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?...topic=2161&st=

Windsor 2,233 Posted October 20, 2005 There does seem to be a lack of admins around these days doesn't there? I know its not my place, but I propose that the other admins appoint a new admin member. I suggest that they choose one of the more experienced mods such as Teddy. I seem to recall that he was after the job a while ago. It certainly would make up for Stayin Alives disappearing act... Windsor 2,233 Posted October 22, 2005 I agree that MH would make a good admin however there is a 'rank and file' about the place and as Teddy has served for quite a long time as moderator, it is only fair that he be considered above any new moderators. I noticed HCW posted above, she could be considered because she is always here and posts quite regularly. But then again, the master has expressed no need for more admin and so there is no need for considerations. Perhaps millwall's services could be used to find out which of the now three 'would be' candidates get the backing of the forum membership .
