BrunoBrimley 86 Posted December 21, 2005 In the tradition of yesterdays posting by CupOfBoringLiquid (also known as CupOfTea..no offense meant to you CupofTea, I just find tea not to be my beverage of choice unless you plan to pour some bourbon into it ); I would like to welcome our latest new member Eleni and extend to him/her/it the Scythe of Reaping of Souls. So anywho....Eleni appears to be the one who has raised our bar of death to 668 registrated members and as of this moment we have ourselves a bit over 40,000 posts having been made by registrated people. I get the feel that this does not include non-registrated people like the guests and LBJ and LadyBird Watcher sorts and other assorted whacky folks who drop by on regular occasion. So moving back to Eleni I am reminded of the filmed movie of that same exact name from some 20 years ago which brings me to the main point of this post other than welcoming Eleni::::: How many folks from that movie are still with us? John Malkovich? Kate Nelligan? Still alive looking at #56 in March Linda Hunt? Oliver Cotton? Ronald Pickup? Rosalie Crutchley? Dead since 1997 Glenne Headly? Dimitra Arliss? Just turned 73 this past October, no listed work since 2000.... Steve Plytas? Imdb lists him as still alive being born in 1913.... I see a good candidate for next year. Peter Woodthorpe? Kicked off in the summer of 2004 at a mere 72+ (would have been 73 if he had hung on for another 44 days or so). Jon Rumney? Alison King? Leon Lissek? Stefan Gryff? Andrea Laskari? How about Nick Gage the person who wrote the novel Eleni on which the movie was based........is he still with us?? Come on people tell us what you know about these people and what happened to them. Canadian Paul 97 Posted December 21, 2005 Steve Plytas? Imdb lists him as still alive being born in 1913.... I see a good candidate for next year. Why? Health problems? I'd look it up on his wiki, but apparentely he doesn't have one.

Canadian Paul 97 Posted December 23, 2005 Doesnt'w jhave one what Paul? A healtyh or a wiki? To expand my statement past the contractions: "Would that he had a wikipedia entry, I would look up my own query, but alas, he does not." As you can see, "one" can clearly only refer to wiki in this case. If you would, however, explain to me what a "healtyh" is, I would be glad to perform research concerning that subject as well for you Mr. Brimley.

Tomb raider 9 Posted December 19, 2006 Lady Bird Johnson was mentioned several times as the most likely 13th succes of 2006, so I decided to have a look at this topic. The thread is leading to nowhere, I think, mainly due to Bruno's drunken drivel, but who cares. A little bit more ontopic: did it occur to any of you that it was highly unpractical of Lady Bird and her late husband to name both of their daughters L.B. Johnson? It resulted in four LBJ's in one family, how would they have known which of them was the one meant on a letter, for example?
VSBfromH 74 Posted December 19, 2006 As I have mentioned on here before, Steve Plytas (who many may remember as Kurt the drunken chef in "Fawlty Towers") died in 1994, according to IMDB. Originally when I was scouring IMDB for potential DL candidates a year or so ago, they had no death details for him, but it was updated soon afterwards. Ronald Pickup is currently be gracing our TV screens here in the UK in "The Worst Christmas Of My Life".

He named each of his four sons George and his daughter Georgetta. Imagine a piece of mail coming into that household.

I seem to remember his kids were called Prince Michael, Prince Michael II and Prince Michael III or something. (Can't be bothered to google this. Besides that: googling 'Michael Jackson' and 'children' at the same time would probably lead me to a completely different kind of XXX-websites...)

Magere Hein 1,400 Posted December 19, 2006 By the way, why is Lady Bird Johnson on the DL-frontpage linking to this topic? Good question. If he can be bothered for the time remaining, it's something GR will have to repair. regards, Hein
BrunoBrimley 86 Posted December 19, 2006 Only the registrated ones At last I know why peopple think we are the same person Gorgon. That's the soort of thing I would say. As to the LadyBird thing, it no longer says that on the front page and I can fairly much assure all of you that I never would have dragged the old bag in here, I keep my posts on topic even when there is drivel in them (thank you ever so much for that jab TomB Raider) The other thing is that I really don't give a dammed about LadyBird and she has her own thread. Let me ask you Tomb Raider,,,,have you taken a good look around and noticed that every so often someone (I know not who, nay I do not) creates new dialogue for the descriptive under the heading? Have yoiu observed how posts themselves are at times altered? Before going whacko and deciding it was me remembere there are those around with alteration powers who seem to get their jollies out of editiorializing other peoples posts,
