Pollard underwent heart transplant surgery yesterday, and it seems that he's feeling good enough to already stand up and move about, albeit with assistance.

Vadim Ivanovich Gladun was born in Zapadinka, Kiev region, and died at the age of 86, the former basketball player was a bronze medalist at the World Championships (1963), (he was the last to die from that team). European Champion (1963) (he was the last to die from that team too). Winner of the World Universiade (1959, 1961), and Champion of the USSR in 1966/67

Dave Gunther has died at age 86. He served as head basketball coach at the University of North Dakota from 1970 to 1988. Gunther played college basketball at the University of Iowa and professional basketball with the San Francisco Warriors of the National Basketball Association, also playing for Cleveland Pipers, Detroit Pistons, Williamsport Billies and San Francisco Saints

Walter Wesley was born in Fort Myers, Florida and died in Tampa, Florida, played in the NBA for the Cincinnati Royals, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Capital Bullets, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and one game during 1975–76, his 10th and final NBA season, for the Los Angeles Lakers
