Guest iain Posted April 23, 2005 I will always remember John Mills for his part as Professor Quatermass in the tv series. He was one hell of a guy and will be missed.
Rotten Ali 600 Posted April 23, 2005 Another sad day for the acting community. What an all round nice chap Sir John Mills was. Didn't he do well to get to be aged 97? Well, he is only my 3rd hit of 2005 in the DDP and because about 36 teams had him it will only move me up some 8 places to about =24th.

Guest IYG Posted April 25, 2005 I leave town for almost two days and someone here dies, figures. Surprisingly I've only seen 6 movies with him but from what I remember he was quite good in all of them. Truly a great actor.

Terminator 13 Posted April 25, 2005 I thought his best performances were alongside Richard Boone.

Guest question Posted May 8, 2005 Shouldn't this thread have a little exclamation icon since this person is now dead?
Grim_Rita 4 Posted May 22, 2005 He hasn't got an orange exclamation mark next to his name on the 2005 names list like the others who have snuffed it this year. Im sure the poor chap is turning in his grave as we speak! [Merged.... Oops sorry Rita... HCW]

BrunoBrimley 86 Posted May 22, 2005 Reminder to BB:Show a little interest old chap How little? But in all seriousness, if I may be so bold as to attempt this new endeavor (seriousness that is), I did appreciate his work. And a darned fine actor too.
football_fan 42 Posted May 22, 2005 Why start a new John Mills thread when one already exists here
BrunoBrimley 86 Posted May 22, 2005 Because at the time it would seem that Grim Rita thought it was the right thing to do and a tasty way to do it.
Grim_Rita 4 Posted May 22, 2005 Also Grim Reaper was more likely to see it on the main board

Windsor 2,233 Posted July 7, 2005 I dont mean to start up all arguements but why does John Mills not have an exclamation thing to indicate he's dead.
Deadornot 12 Posted July 8, 2005 Its because he's not dead yet.

BrunoBrimley 86 Posted July 8, 2005 Its because he's not dead yet What! I guess this is deadornot just telling us all that until the invite to the funeral service arrives it won't be official Poor Johnny, gone too soon. On another note, I noticed deadornot and windsor near each other at times and a quick glance always makes me think of a new person for our board--why it would be deadwindsornot of course. and of course they'd need an avatar and here's one which would be suitable for either a male or female member of this community.
