The Pooka 26 Posted January 23, 2006 It's good to see that Dickie O's thread has exceeded the late Popes. He is after all so much greater than JPII. Ray has said he doesn't mind you using his pics,Dickie has also given his approval to this thread, he has got a great sense of humor. Rest easy Mr.Whitehouse legal action will not be forthcoming,as long as nothing outrageously libellous is posted. How did you know his name? Anyhoo, I think greater than the former Pope is a bit much. who exactly is mr.whitehouse? Mr Whitehouse is a purveyor of bawdiness, coarseness, crudity, drunkenness, evil, foulness, grossness, immodesty, impropriety, impurity, incivility, indecorum, indelicacy, lewdness, licentiousness, obscenity, offense, outrageousness, pornography, ribaldry, smut, smuttiness, unseemliness, vileness, vulgarity with a magazine so named. Also the husband of Mrs Whitehouse, who knew nothing of the above. Mister Whitehouse sounds like most of the blokes I drink with down the boozer. except he's the only one who's the husband of Mrs Whitehouse, I guess.
Brinsworth House Baiter 12 Posted January 23, 2006 Actually, no, because all the blokes I drink with in my fantasy social life are called Mister Whitehouse, funnily enough.

Brinsworth House Baiter 12 Posted January 24, 2006 Point taken....but I'm not reduced to imagining my team. And your earlier post regarding Carlisle's promotion from League 2 wasn't based in imagination? Anyway, to get back on topic for the sake of the may or may not be watching Mister Ray Donn & to answer someone's query earlier in this thread; Dicky O' is a big Chelsea fan... according to the IMDB. Although, a little like William Shatner, I don't think he gets down to the Bridge much these days.
millwall32 114 Posted January 24, 2006 Could we drag this thread back to matters relating Dickie O?

Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 24, 2006 Okay....He's crap. And Carlisle are going up! Carlisle, or as they are better known, Gretna's second XI. Bring back Jimmy Glass, I say. He was responsible for the greatest sporting moment ever.
maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted January 24, 2006 Out of order and ignorant! It's the other way around - Prokas, Skelton, Rundle, Baldachino - ex Brunton Park with careers revived at Gretna. The standard of football.... RICHARD O' SULLIVAN IS CRAP - I'M ON TOPIC - RICHARD O' SULLIVAN IS CRAP ....in the Scots second level is still part-time and piss poor compared to our League Two, just check the crowd figures and the career stats of the players. 1st - 20th place in the Scots leagues is the equivalent of - say - The gap between Spurs and Stevenage Borough. maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted January 24, 2006 On a totally separate note, does anyone know anything about Arnold who started this thread. Has s/he any idea what was kicked off with that first speculative post about health problems and possible Dickie O suicide?
Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 24, 2006 Richard O'Sullivan has a nice, firm ass. Gretna are full-time, mind. But what about Jimmy Glass. And Michael Knighton, come to think of it.
maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted January 24, 2006 Michael Knighton's web site is a surreal mash up of self-aggrandising shite (in my opinion) and basic spelling and grammatical errors that suggest a monster ego and miniscule skills (again, in my opinion). It was recently revised, if you saw the original where he described himself as 'hansom' it was a riot. Most of the spellings and grammar have been corrected. There is a scathing attack on the site if you go to Carlisle United mad and click on a regular column called YCTCFTB. Jimmy Glass; classic moment but - whisper it quietly - not exactly a great goalie. Gretna; plucky, successful but they'd be rubbing shoulders with Torquay and Macclesfield if they played in England. Which - incidentally - they did as a non-league side. RICHARD O'SULLIVAN - STILL SHITE - I'M ON TOPIC.

"Yes, Dr Hackenslash knows Gretna used to play in the Unibond league until four years ago. "He knows quite a lot about the club, given that he can practically see the ground from his house (ish, don't actually live there at mo). "He also knows Gretna will start the 2007/08 season in the SPL."
maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted January 24, 2006 Hackenslash, I've nowt against Gretna and - odd as it may seem - I'd love to see 'em do well, though I think they'd take a few SPL pastings if it did happen. I still think they're doomed to less support and less quality on the pitch than Carlisle. I also think your present owner isn't going to get the sniff at Brunton Park he's so obviously wanted for a while. RICHARD O' SULLIVAN'S ENTIRE OUTPUT IS RELENTLESSLY DIRE OFFERING ENTERTAINMENT ONLY TO THE MENTALLY CHALLENGED AND TERMINALLY UNAMBITIOUS.

Dicky was in Carry On Teacher & I defy you to tell me that the Carry On's were relentlessly dire & only appealed to the mentally challenged & terminally unambitious? Terminally unambitious? I'll wager you hear those two words quite frequently, being a Carlisle United fan?
maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted January 24, 2006 Aye, all right, I was stirring it for the sake of staying on topic. But when we talk of O' Sullivan glories we're fishing for chunks of chicken in an ocean of vomit, sort of thing. But elsewhere, you lot are a couple of years out of date with your 'Carlisle United are crap' jokes. And we've just signed another forward player with experience higher up the league, and he'll be punting in crosses to the leading scorer in the league, and we've got the highest average crowds in our league having come up from the Conference where we had the highest average crowds, and.....great days at Brunton Park! The Pooka 26 Posted January 24, 2006 Jimmy Glass was down here in Bournemouth League playing for a mate of mine - did a bit for Weymouth in 2004 - still useful at this level. A better footballer by far than Richard O'Sullivan.... though Jimmy wasn't as good as Dickie around the box. Google yer name tonight Jimmy and you'll be baffled! maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted January 24, 2006 Glass wrote a sometimes painful autobiography - One Hit Wonder - detailing his compulsive gambling, struggles to get establshed anywhere and that magic moment on May 8th 1999, since when he attempted an unsuccessful comeback, thwarted largely because his eyesight wasn't quite sharp enough to hold its own under floodlights anymore and was last heard of in the UK media moving his young family to France in search of a fresh start. Widely accepted as a nice guy and forever a legend in Carlisle.
