James Corson Niederman (wiki), American epidemiologist, supposedly dead at 99.

His research identified the Epstein-Barr virus as the culprit for glandular fever.

Niederman's death comes in a time appropriate fashion given that the co-discoverer of the virus itself, Sir Anthony Epstein, died just a few weeks ago.

I believe these are the oldest living Aussie rules players now, but it's hard to keep track of them as they often die off radar:

Jim Miller (wiki), 104
Jack Taylor (wiki), 99
Gordon Green (wiki), 98
Max Glass (wiki), 98
Angus Abbey (wiki), 98
Basil Rigg (wiki), 97

He won the Sandover Medal in 1952, the oldest living winner of that medal, who is now John Todd (b. 1938), winner in 1955.

The Sandover Medal has been awarded annually since 1921 to the best and fairest player in the West Australian Football League. After each match, the three on-field referees (those who control the flow of the game) confer and award votes of 3, 2 and 1 point to the players they consider the best, second best and third best in the match, respectively. Voting was not always done this way. From 1985 to 2018, votes of 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point were cast, from 1930 to 1984, votes of 3, 2, and 1 point were cast, and before 1930, there was only one vote per game
