Godot 149 Posted November 20, 2008 Reports today suggest you could buy Woolworths - as in the whole company - for £1. Not sure what its debts are but it has quite a lot of fixed assets in its high street stores. Alan Sugar won't be a happy bunny after buying a £1.8m stake a few weeks back. maryportfuncity 10,657 Posted November 27, 2008 I've been telling the young 'uns that some business thrive in bad economic times, citing porn, entertainment and alcohol. So I'll be boring them over dinner with this vindication as Cobra Beer goes from strength to strength. I love Cobra beer with my curry, I do.

You're going to get a lot of these stories in the next 18 months or so... Aye, but the irony is that this isn't one of 'these' stories. No rumours to speak of and the company was doing well.
