deadsox 892 Posted December 21, 2009 I'm currently the only entry in the Nederlands Dead Pool. You Europeans really don't want a crass American like me to win this do you?
Tomb raider 9 Posted December 21, 2009 I'm currently the only entry in the Nederlands Dead Pool. You Europeans really don't want a crass American like me to win this do you? Certainly not! The rules state that dutch deaths earn extra points, and I very much doubt that your knowledge of Dutch celebs is extensive enough to beat me... (Though I'd have to enroll a team first, you're absolutely right about that. I'll give it some attention somewhere in the upcoming days, thanks for the tip!) Oh - I do intend to have a well crafted team - hopefully fully made up of Dutch nationals, that is if I can get their "numbers" to add-up.

Rotten Ali 600 Posted December 29, 2009 Working on it! - but I must admit I'm in a mess with my own work. My shortlist is already 94 names long and I know that I've not got the time to bottom out all the possible candidates back history to my full satisfaction. So it really will be a seat of my pants entry late on, during Thursday evening.
maryportfuncity 10,616 Posted December 29, 2009 My DDP line-up is down to 27, at which point I might order them appropriately and enter this DP before the heart-breaking job of whittling them down to 20.

Tomb raider 9 Posted December 31, 2009 Last night I send in my entry for both the DDP and the Nederlandse Dead Pool. Not many doubles on them, my NDP-team consists entirely of Dutchmen and women, except for Jean I of Luxembourg (also my DDP-joker) and Queen Fabiola of Belgium. I included several dark horses - very ill people that will surely be unique picks. Edit: I almost forgot Toots Thielemans, who's also Belgian, of course! Rotten Ali 600 Posted December 31, 2009 So as the clocks strike 11pm here is my team. Big important question - so how does it look? Remember it's only drawn from a brief internet study. And I've never been to Holland (nearest I've been was a drive via Brussels/ Lieages/ Spa & down to Luxembourge) Never seen any dutch TV, don't know more than a dozen words. It's been hell copy and pasting between Wiki in English (if it shows anything) or Dutch and in and out of Babel Fish. SO HERE IT IS MY 100% DUTCH EFFORT: Johan van Hulst Gratia Schimmelpenninck van der Oye Max Kohnstamm Hans Schnitger Piet de Jong Tin Dekkers Johnny Hoes (22/07/2011) Heinrich Boere Harry Mulisch Remco Campert Mies Bouwman Els Borst Corry Brokken Adele Bloemendaal Bas van Toor Jean Nelissen Liesbeth List Aad van Toor Arie van der Veer Jeltje van Nieuwenhoven Ad van den Berg (ps edit 21/feb/2010 - Re. Peidophile Party) Jack Spijkerman Roy Martina Erwin Olaf Johannes Heesters Huff and Puff. It's been an experience!!!
