We are delighted and proud to announce that our BBC documentary tonight won Best Sports Programme at the Royal Television Society Scotland awards!  Many thanks to Alex Gale and his team for bringing our story to the world. As most of you will know the night after the documentary was aired we won our first game in over 800 days. It was the inspiration our lads needed to help them get that elusive win.

It's been pretty quiet on this thread lately.  Soooooo.............. A victory is a victory.

We travelled to Inverness today where we faced a young Clachnacuddin in our First Pre season match of the season.

Fort ran away 1-0 winners with Aidan Taylor getting the goal. An early goal secured the win for Fort

But with very high winds in Inverness in horrendous weather conditions chances were limited for both sides.

It was very good for the lads to get 90 minutes under their belts as we prepare for the upcoming season and a chance to see some new signings

The Highland League Management Committee met this evening and decided that the 2020-2021 Breedon Highland League will start on Saturday 28th November 2020.

This is in keeping with its decision to pause the start of the season at a meeting on 28th September.

Fort William are one of the 11 Highland League Teams allowed supporters back into the grounds when the season does start.

We look forward to seeing you all back at Claggan!

Keith FC will mark the devastating news of the sudden passing of Turriff United FC Committee member Web Duncan by flying out flag at half mast ahead of today’s Scottish Cup match against Fortwilliam FC.

Web was a long standing committee member at Turriff United FC

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Marlene, Gary and Kevin at this terrible time along of course with their extended families.

Well, first game of the season started the usual way by getting grubbed 10-0.

As if 2020 isn't depressing enough without the resumption of the guaranteed heartbreak that is supporting Fort William.

Since the 10-0 drubbing the games against Huntley and Fortmarine have been postponed - not much cheer so far this season, then

Thanks. I haven't given up on them entirely.  Just decided to give it a break this season.  Games are all over the place and thought I'd wait until this virus buggers off so we have a bit of more regular updates.

And if anybody's interested, FWFC drew 1-1 with Huntly today.  Now, I'm off to celebrate Scotland beating 'the auld enemy' at rugby.

Attend the game without being there.

Fan boards.
Cant make the game in person!!!! Have  your face and message to the team on a pitch side board.

60cm x 60cm to fit on our new  spectator rail around the pitch.
Various colour options.

Makes a ideal gift.

Boards will run for a full 12 months, or until the end of next 2022/2023 season (which ever is longer) and can be renewed.

One off initial printing charge £30 (you own the board and can request it back at the end of the
term)

£50 per season

Message us on social media or email fortwilliamfc@highlandleague.com

BTW, lost 3-0 midweek.

Been a bit tardy following the Fort this season but we're looking at narrow defeats here, despite the dire league record. We've seen worse seasons.

20 losses, 2 draws, -81 goal difference. Given the two single goal defeats mentioned recently, there must've been some whoppers in there to still be losing by an average of 4 a game. So the narrow defeats seem the exception rather than the rule. But every cloud... ;)
