Davey Jones' Locker 1,324 Posted August 16, 2011 Huw Ceredig, who played Reg Harries for 29 years in Pobol y Cwm, has died aged 69. I'll leave it up to any Welshmen on this forum to decide if they are insulted or deeply gratified to be considered "foreign" by you Poms. Meanwhile, Sif Ruud has rudely departed at the age of 95. She was the star of a number of Ingmar Bergman films including It Rains on Our Love, Wild Strawberries and The Magician, so this is a big loss for the world of non-English language cinema: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sif_Ruud

CaptainChorizo 1,983 Posted September 1, 2011 http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/vero...sel-zech-230235 BERLIN - Rosel Zech, the pale blond actress perhaps best known for her starring turn in Rainer Werner Fassbinder's Veronika Voss (1982), died Wednesday of cancer. She was 69. In Germany, Zech was best known for her many small screen roles, especially that of the no-nonsense nun Mother Reuter in the long-running TV sitcom For Heaven's Sake. Davey Jones' Locker 1,324 Posted October 2, 2011 I was just surfing around and I came across this bloke, Pierre "Monsieur Cinema" Tchernia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Tchernia No idea about his health but he was born in January 1928 so he is getting on. An interesting bloke who has done a lot, I suppose there is a chance he could score a British obit.
Davey Jones' Locker 1,324 Posted October 12, 2011 Otto Tausig, who has a role in La Reine Margot and a few other notable foreign films, died the other day: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Tausig As an Austrian Jew, he should actually have died circa 1943 but his mum sent him over to England when she saw an ad for factory workers in the paper. Nevertheless, the Reaper has finally caught up with him.

Davey Jones' Locker 1,324 Posted October 16, 2011 Another one to keep an eye on is Swiss actress Annemarie Duringer, notable for being in Veronika Voss: http://en.wikipedia....e_D%C3%BCringer No health info but she was born in 1925 so best to make note of her in the thread now so we don't have a Swiss miss. Davey Jones' Locker 1,324 Posted November 2, 2011 Swedish actress Sickan Carlsson was evidently sick enough to die at 96. Never heard of her but judging from the length of her filmography, she was quite significant: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sickan_Carlsson Ingmar Bergman obviously thought she was a good actress as he wrote a screenplay especially for her. Davey Jones' Locker 1,324 Posted November 26, 2011 This is just another placeholder entry (no health information), for a French actress named Nicole Courcel, who I just stumbled across. The first line of her Wikipedia entry sums things up succinctly: "Nicole Courcel (born 21 October 1931) is a French actress, who achieved popularity through the 1950s, and 1960s, though she is mostly unknown outside of France." http://en.wikipedia..../Nicole_Courcel So famous at home but largely unknown overseas probably makes her an each-way bet for a UK obit. She hasn't worked since 1979 so no idea about her present well-being. I guess that lack of recent activity also reduces her chances of an obit.
Davey Jones' Locker 1,324 Posted November 29, 2011 Yet another one to keep an eye on for future reference is the French actress Jacqueline Pagnol, who was born in 1926, and thus is entering our target range. Apart from being a reasonably notable actress in her own right, her chances of a UK obit are boosted by the fact that she was the wife (and muse) of the writer and director Marcel Pagnol. She is best known for appearing in Nais (1945) and the original version of Manon de Sources (1952), in the role which later made Emmanuelle Beart famous. She scores reasonably highly on my babe-ometer: Unfortunately, I can't find any current health information on her.

Not sure if he has any health problems but he is already older then the avg life excpectancy for a male from his country so I guess he is a distint possibity. http://en.wikipedia....anda_Montenegro Fernando Montenegro the first Brazilian Actor to be ever get an Oscar nomination turned 82 last month.
