(Yes, all of those seemingly endless UK antiques shows eventually end up on Aussie television, too.)

 

With half the specialists on Roadshow being antiques themselves, who do you think the Reaper will bid for next?

I think if you widen this thread to antiques experts, or the Antiques Roadshow, then Bruce Parker and Henry Sandon (now 84) would be the most likely. I think because of the large amount of interest in antiques, a lot of the experts who have been on are likely to get obituaries in the mainstream and/or broadsheet press.

FWIW, my friends and I reached the following common consensus on the "chicks of Bargain Hunt" (yes, we are that sad):

 

 

Anita Manning - most lovable personality. (Didn't know Scottish women were so much fun until she came on the tele. ) Pity she is so plain but she can so easily get by without looks. Probably the most cunning auctioneer, too, the way she plays the bidders.

Pippa Deeley - best girlfriend material (she is rather sexy in a somewhat haughty kind-of-way. You could imagine her being the poster girl for the Olympics dressage team.)

Elizabeth Talbot - best wife material.

Catherine Southon - sweetest. Almost/sort of/borderline sexy.(EDIT: it seems others agree.)

Kate Bliss - daftest. Seriously, that woman is bloody useless. Has she ever lead a team to victory yet? Even her expert bonus choices tend to regularly lose 80-90 quid.

It seems that others do indeed consider her to have a "Jolly Hockeysticks" personality. The comments about her permanently windswept hair are a bit cruel though - I think it adds to her sexiness.

If you read through the entire thread, it seems that the late Mr Barby sported black eyes on at least two occasions, purportedly from falling down stairs whilst drunk.

 

It also seems a few of the female viewers are irritated by Catherine Southorn's propensity for draping herself over male contestants and indulging in mutual gropes.
