The Great Escape

Recommended Posts

Well with Garner making his "Great Escape" that leaves only Richard Attenborough 90, William Russell 89, George Mikell 85, Angus Lennie 84, Lawrence Montaigne 83, David McCallum 80, Karl-Otto Alberty 80, John Leyton 78, and Tom Adams 76.

Farewell Shughie McFee. Hope it wasn't your cooking that did you in.

Angus Lennie was going to be on my 2015 list. Argh.

Sorry, posted a comment on another thread about Angus Lennie.

How many escapers are now left. We know about David McCallum and William Russell, but is that all

I thought that Karl Otto Alberty was on the German side and not one of the escapers.

Can someone tell me what the secret is behind "Hill street blues"?

I mean all but 5(!) of the main characters and supporting characters are still alive. (Note: there are five others with no wiki page but I presume they are alive.) And it's an impressive list of actors numbering 37!!

St Elswhere, which ran at around the time period is doing ok too. Just going from memory, I think we've only lost Ed Flanders from the main cast.

I was thinking last week on doing a Dirty Dozen thread which is of similar vintage.

But more "possible".

Now on a tablet as opposed to laptop, I'm less likely to do it.

Until I get another laptop ;) , the tablet is only for watching football via mobdro, yes mobdro.

That's mobdro.

For all televisual/sporting needs.....

Mobdro.

So just 4 cast members still alive out of 27. It will soon be the end of an era.
