You know, I feel we are always late to the party with this thread. So why not have one of my world famous lists? If you are looking for a nob or two around Christmas to fill out your DDP package, it might do to consider some of these. Why have diamonds and pearls when you can have Dukes, Marquesses and Earls?

I've gone for those over 80 currently or who will be over 80 in 2019.  In order of seniority. Wiki is my friend here, any errors are theirs not mine.

She was also the Chief of Clan Sutherland, a role that her son now resumes. There are very few female clan chiefs in Scotland I believe.

Her death also means Prince Philip now enters the top 3 oldest hereditary peers.

Another World War II veteran.

I still haven’t finished my research but between peers and former MPs I could only find 19 who served. That’s down to 17 already with the passings of Lord Chalfont and Lord Ironside.

Lawdy, wee while since I picked him for anything. RIP, was quite a character.

Pretty sure he's one for the List of the Missed.

Pretty sure then I had him in the Hare's Pool at some point and also on my shadow list.

Quite simply, I didn't believe he'd be a unique this year. :banghead:

Death Notice for Lady Elizabeth Grimthorpe (nee Lumley), widow of the late Christopher Beckett, 4th Baron Grimthorpe and daughter of Roger Lumley, 11th Earl of Scarborough: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/241066/grimthorpe

She'd have been 94. Apparently a Lady of the Bedchamber at Clarence House for, and until the death of, the Queen Mother.

According to a post on the Peerage Google Group, the 13th Earl of Galloway possibly died back on 27th March.

He would've been 91 but strange that his death would go unnoticed for a month.

Martin Broadbridge, 4th Baron Broadbridge, who succeeded his first cousin in 2000, died 19th April in Cardiff at the age of 90.

The new titleholder, Richard (b. 1959), is an honory surgeon to the Queen. Whatever that is.

When is lockdown going to be over?

Not sure how I missed his death notice in the Telegraph: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/241128/broadbridge
