Sir Creep 7,071 Posted October 9, 2016 Thought the symbol of what became Pearl Harbor would make for an interesting topic now that we are down to 5 survivors, so easy peasy to keep track of. We had 6 till this week. A WWII veteran from Rhode Island, one of the last survivors of the attack on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, has died. Raymond Haerry's death was disclosed by Tim Gray, a local filmmaker who included Haerry in a new documentary, Remember Pearl Harbor, to be aired nationally on PBS this December on the 75th anniversary of the attack. Haerry died Sept. 27 in West Warwick at 94. His death leaves just five survivors from the USS Arizona. The rest of the short obit is fascinating so I suggest a quick read. Go meet your shipmates Seaman Haerry. SC http://www.providencejournal.com/news/20161007/ri-man-one-of-last-survivors-of-uss-arizona-dies
