Couldnt Find anything on Lady Bliss, although when I typed her name into google with no parentheses, The first match was a bit Interesting.

Couldn't find anything on Duchess of Bedford either, I doubt that either one of them is famous enough.

Indeed, I believe you. I googled Lady Bliss and discovered that she turned 101 in April this year (the site in question was about her late husband Arthur Bliss, a composer I believe). But I doubt she is famous enough for inclusion on the DL.

MG it is strange trying to actually convince the DL members

with your 101 year old grandmothers fame. <_<

She's your own faimly? Unless of course you refuse to speak

with her. Just maybe she is going senile somewhere and you figure

if she's dead she's better off. If that's the case i apologize.

BS, do pipe down Old Boy.

MG has provided us with some useful info, and all you can do is write unreadable nonsense.

Elizabeth Russell, Duchess of Bedford. Born September 23, 1818?

Is that the person you were talking about?

There was a ship called The Duchess of Bedford built in the 1920's but I doubt that's what you're talking about!! :(

The current Duchess of Bedford, Louise Russell (nee Crammond) is only in her thirties so I guess it's not her you mean either!

The previous Duchess of Bedford, Henrietta Russell (nee Tiarks, now the Dowager Duchess) was born on Tuesday 5th March 1940 and is quite well known!

My family used to work for the Dukes of Bedford so I'm a font of useless information when it comes to them! Is that any help?

Have just finished reading her autobiography - Nicole Nobody - a great read & a very interesting lady. - refers to her 50th birthday - 29 June 1970 - therefore must have been born 29 June 1920.

I can see your world Anubis - friends or faimly makes

no difference what so ever..

For some it may even make it more entertaining. :D

I put this through Babelfish and got this

So sung a little Clod of Clay,

Trodden with the cattle's feet,

But a Pebble of the brook

Warbled out these metres meet:

Now I'm very confused.

 If you look up "Nicole Milinaire" you'll find info. on Nicole Schneider, the French woman who married the 13th Duke.

The Dukes and Duchesses of Bedford have their main property at Woburn Abbey. The current Duchess (married to the 13th Duke) is French. The Previous Duchess, Henrietta was Duchess for a very short time as her husband died not long after his father. The previous duchess to that is also still alive (b. 1920), although i think she was the 12th Dukes stepmother. Thats the one you mean I think.....The heirs to the Dukes of Beufort are known as the Marquess (and Marchioness) of Tavistock.

In a crazy bored way I've been trawling the old threads.

So bringing this up to date - Lady Bliss died in 2008: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/3497984/Lady-Bliss.html

Nicole, Dowager Duchess of Bedford died in 2012: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2012/sep/14/nicole-duchess-of-bedford

But alas my personal regular DDP favourite The Dowager Duchess of Grafton is still soldiering on aged 98!
