Sick of deadpools; here's another game,

 

Another forum I use does this and thought it would be quite fun to do one on here. Basically a twenty song playlists swap based on a theme each month, which you then review each track for and score out of ten and your partner does vice versa. 

 

This'll be for December, you have until the 5th to say you want to be in this; and then on the 6th pairs will be drawn, once pairs are drawn try and get your playlist in within a week or so, but no hard limit (you can start working on it now if you want). The idea is of course to introduce you to music you would normally listen to.

- Comment in this thread by 23:59 on the 4th to be included as an entrant for the drawing of pairs on the 5th. "I'm in" will do.  

 

- As the first one you have free reign; there is no theme. Just 20 songs you like or love and want to share. As obscure or mainstream as you like. 

 

- Please don't include more than one song by each artist. 

 

- You can provide the list how you want whether that be 20 songs written out in here, a spotify playlist or youtube playlist or whatever. (Spotify is recommended, if you're worried about your real name being linked to this site it takes a minute to set up another account or change your name on your account). 

 

- Review the playlist when you've listened to it enough to judge each song. There's no winners or losers here, so just say what you think.

FTR, my sister put together music theme parties where whoever hosted the party had to make a CD based on a theme, copies of which would be passed out to attendees.  After wine, whiskey and hors d'oeuvres, the CD would be played and we would have to guess the theme.  Fatefully it only lasted about 4 or 5 parties cuz it was hard to get a pile of adults together on the same evening.  But is was a grand idea.  

So with that...... I'm in.

Don't take any offense here's the dummies guide.

 

- Sets of two players exchange twenty song playlists with eachother.

- Each player rates each track they were given out of 10 and gives at least a short sentence to go with it.. 

- Hopefully everyone goes away with a few new singers/bands they think worth checking out at the end of it.

From whenever your partner give you your playlist (earliest the 5th) until the end of the month (or later, if needed).

Not Edmonds but I did meet Mr Blobby back in the 90's.

Works Xmas bash booked at Kings Manor in Edinburgh, boss Telt me a couple of days before to buy two books of raffle tickets.

My ma raised a couple of imbeciles, but I'm not one, so twigged it was for the free bar. Bought a book myself.

On the night out itself we were scoffing the free booze plus rinsing the extra book, and a couple of military wanks showed up who were staying there.

Lol, they were the Minders for the Mr Blobby costume who had been in Aberdeen earlier.

Few strips of tickets and they let me look in the case.

Fag burned, drink soaked piece of shite.

Few more strips to the squaddies and Mr Blobby was hurling the young cashiers around the dance floor.

Proud of that night, 8 gins to a bottle of tonic was the most I got too iirc......
