Well done @max_bossetti.  I think that's a fair result and, even if my deceased puppeteer had scored me points, I hadn't done anything about getting a new team together, so would have been disqualified anyway.

Will be back next year for more. :)

Quite the upset by upstart max.  Done in by a University President!

I’d be lying to say I wasn’t rooting for DDT to go all the way.  Carry the torch proudly @max_bossetti.

I'm against the death penalty. One of the main reasons is the risk of misjudgment. It's terrifying to think that an innocent person could be executed due to errors or biases in the legal system.

Then you’ve zero knowledge of how the legal system works.  Why not walk us through the process of how your innocent strawman ended up being executed.

You can be against the DP on other grounds (meaning purely moral ones, what other is there?) but not that confounded nonsense of reasoning.

Exceot that the X obit from his brother never mentions anything about being a composer.  How would you have ever known that unless you too are a total nerd?

  4. Why wasn’t this thread closed by @Paul Bearer on the second post?  That’s his job.  Useless as tits on a boar hog.

Whether anyone knows him or not, there’s a thread for actors.  That’s where the discussion ends.  Thanks to PB and his two clown cronies, this site has gone to hell. If any of the three managed a business as they do this site they’d have been sacked ages ago.

He was married (to this lady) under Erwin Barer in the late 1950s. Presumably, he changed his name when he married the wife listed on his IMDb, because his sons (born 1991 and 1994) are in the CA birth index under Barton.

That’s a lot of chatter over a simple solution: what’s the census say his occupation is?

My dad had a coin collection, not large but not minuscule either . I was always more interested in postcards so I don't remember what was in but I am wondering what happened to it.

Do you still collect postcards?  What kind?

(as a former librarian and former-but-back-again Michigander) I gathered a bunch of old postcards of Michigan libraries.  Yes I resorted to eBay for some of it, for usually a fiver.  I think I have about 20 postcards or so.  Any theme will do it’s kinda fun the more obtuse the theme.

  7. So I have my father’s coin collection and I was really into it til I was about 20.  That’s four decades ago, and I haven’t the time to redbook each coin’s worth.  I know the ones of value in general.  His collection was unique (I think) in that he had each BU coin from the first year it was minted.  Plenty of others too but that was the theme. I know the one he never got was the 1892 Barber Half Dollar (odd, as it isn’t out of reach price wise; was $300 or so 1970, now it’ll set you back $1500 for a ‘very good’ one, which isn’t outrageous.  BU quality could cost as much as a vehicle I suppose.).

I used to collect Mercury dimes and had all but 7 but I was like 19 and needed cash and sold them.  I hate myself every day—just like you guys/gals do!

  8. Forgot to mention attending a fun albeit 45 years in the making Stiff Little Fingers show on 9 May.  After the tepid mosh pit we had to sort the AARP cards lying on the ground.

But seriously it was a good time and glad I finally saw them. Didn’t know they were settled in Chicago the past few decades.

(please note this was 3 days BEFORE Phantom saw them)

It is infuriating that his parents had to publicize what could have been a private family matter because of the "Died Suddenly" ghouls.

They confirmed it to fans and friends, not whatever twisted self-motivated ghoulishness you dreamt up.

For the most significant death of January I give you the man that has helped millions.  Year in, year out.  Not a here today, gone tomorrow arsehole. The man who has made my 20+ years living in a village sanitary. Each year he fixes the 200 year old drainage system which blocks at least once a year. I give you Jim Zockoll. Founder of Dyno-Rod. The most significant January death.

If your drainage system is older than my country, UPDATE THAT SHIT!
