ladyfiona 2,589 Posted April 1, 2023 American Gladiators was a TV show that ran from 1989 to 1996 and then also UK version which ran from 1992 to 2000. There was a 2008 attempt to revive it as well. There are many other international versions of the show as well. Shows I found: American Gladiators, Gladiators (UK), Gladiators (Australia), International Gladiators 1 and 2 , International Gladiators - The Ashes.. just look at other shows around the world. With some Gladiators having medical issues or dying I thought i'd make a list of everyone that i'm aware was on the show in some capacity. I've most likely missed people so apologies. Szabaka 93 Posted April 1, 2023 Not too surprising, their bodies were probably on mega steroid doses. Good category. and for what? look at the pay scale $700 to $1000 per episode (USA). 1
arghton 6,754 Posted April 1, 2023 I remember the Finnish Gladiators "Gladiaattorit", but I was never a big fan of it. Suprisingly only two of those competitors from the original show are dead, the most notable ones - cannibal murderer Virpi Butt and controversial steroidfilled "politician" personality Tony Halme and all the living ones are doing fine as far as I know. The second host narrator Minna Aaltonen is also dead. The original presenter Juha-Pekka Jalo b 1957 suffered a heart attack in 2014 and retired a year or two ago. Jucci Hellström from the 2017 revival has or had cancer and has had some other ailments, but don't know his current condition.

A piss-poor imitation with Mark Clattenberg a second rate version of John Anderson, and Legend a third fourth rate version of Wolf. As for Walsh the younger, he really should "give it up".
