Only Three Survivors of the Titanic are alive as of April 15, 2005---

Lillian Gertrud Asplund

Born on October 21, 1906. She was 5 years, 5 months, and 25 days old on the day the Titanic sank. A passenger in third-class, she escaped from the sinking ship on lifeboat #15, with her mother and a brother. She lost her father and two brothers in the disaster. She is the oldest living survivor and the only one who remembers it. She currently lives in Worcester, Massachusetts, and does not speak of the disaster

Barbara Joyce West

Born on May 24, 1911. When the Titanic sank, she was only 10 months and 22 days old. She was a second-class passenger who escaped on one of the lifeboats (probably #10). She currently lives in Plymouth, England.

Eliza Gladys Milvina Dean

Born on February 2, 1912. She was only 2 months and 13 days old when the Titanic sank. She was a passenger in third-class and she escaped on life boat 10. She now lives in England. She is the youngest of the living survivors and the last survivor who attends Titanic-related events.

I suggest you obsess some more & try & find a dictionary whilst you're at. And $10 to go on a new Titanic sounds bloody cheap to me, so what's stopping you?

The iceberg?

You know, it's uncanny. I had a feeling you were going to send that post about ten minutes ago.

How odd. I'm sure I heard somewhere that Lillian Gertrud Asplund and Barbara Joyce West are still alive as well. Can't remember where, though.

Lance,

Could you provide some documentary evidence to this effect? You could singlehandedly nip this debate in the bud.

Ta much!

Asplund was the last Titanic survivor with actual memories of the sinking, but she shunned publicity and rarely spoke about the events

She could have posted here anonymously, I wouldn't have minded.

You are right. There are now only 2 survivors from the Titanic. They are Milvina Dean and Barbara Joyce West.

Lillian Gertrud Asplund died yesterday at the age of 99.
