Lillian Gertrude died May 6th, 2006. She was the last survivor who remembered any of the tragedy. She seldom commented, but she did state that the faces of her father and 3 brothers peering over the railing haunted her for many years.

what I wonder is why are there so many ww1 veterans left but so few titanic and why the ww1 vetrerans are so much older (none of the real titanic veterans left who remember)? I mean 700 ppl surviving should be abig enough pool of people.

I survived the film (what people round our way call a movie) but only just. All I remember is how cold it was (in the cinema) but then we were sitting in the third class seats drinking Guinness and dancing most of the time.

I think that the film was one of the worst ever made, along with Mrs Doubtfire, and I can't believe how corny it was or how the writers managed to justify turning it into a crappy love story. That's just my opinion though, I know at least one person who enjoyed the film.

everyone the person that said i was 94 that is a lie my great grandmother is 94 her name is Diane hamalainer she did not know very much for she was just a baby but her mom told her all the stuff when the titanic sunk her mother was forced onto the boat leaving my great great grandfather behind he died from impact of the coldnbess of water he was forced to stay on the ship like all men.My greatgradnma says that we were upperclasss and that they lived great luxury but when my grandfather died all the fortune was lost it is so sad so many people being killed does nyone know if Diane Monroe is still alive? my great gradnmother died yesterday i miss her greatky i have many info on the titanic tragedy
