qustion is what has happened to Mr.Stats? That remains

a mystery but really he only had 105 posts which isen't

to much to bragg about though i hear for posting he was

good at what he did. Then there is also Weatherman90

who has also disapeared without a trace. I noticed that

all of his top 4 canidates to die this year which is in his signiture

are still living. I'm guessing that once one of them takes there

last breath then Weatherman will return to the DL with great

sucsess. Why? Maybe lack of attention,Wanting to gain popularity

in which that he has. It all remains unsolved but just think if

none of these deathlist regulers return there are always the

ones to come..

We already clarified what happened to Stats.

 

As regards Weatherman he was never terribly popular and is unlikely to become it, particularly if Lady Bird Johnson were to snuff it.

 

He disappeared because he was getting quite a bit of abuse from some members. Hardly surprising given his choice of avatar.

 

He was also very keen on asking impertinent questions..

Indeed, I believe Windsor was attempting to become the new "Mr Stats". He often posts somewhat obsessively about exactly how many people have died compared to previous years, how many total deaths we have had since 1987, and other such statistics.

 

Maybe the original Statto will put him firmly in his place.

Forgive me for saying something blasphemous, but I believe the role of Mr. Stats has been somewhat overexaggerated.

 

I have looked through his old posts and only very rarely are they of a statistical nature. For this reason, I was wondering whether anyone here could clear up exactly why he deserves his particular moniker?

Mr. Stats does a lot of behind the scenes work, and in late December generates a master list of contenders which is used by the DL Committee to select the 50 names for the following year. Might be an idea to make things a bit more democratic this time around and get input from the Mods and the regular (and non-insane) posters as part of that process, although that type of decision is probably up to the DL CEO.

 

And Windsor, if you'd like to carry out with your polls (or wait, is that Millwall?) and statistcal analyses, from my perspective please feel free to continue.
