At nearly 78 (born May of 1927) I was surprised beyond recognition to learn this man was still alive. He does not look particularly healthy from photos and some randoms searches show his work load has slowed considerably in the last decade. Is it nearly his time?

To paraphrase "Private Eye" ( a UK satirical publication) 'Who he?'

Perhaps this will help answer your question.

my main memory of him is as Dr.Bombay from the mediocre television series 'Bewitched'.

Ah............

I don't really recall him, but I did fancy Samantha in Bewitched all those years ago.

Nor me. However, I have to be impressed with his c.v. I doubt if any other actors appeared in both "Dixon of Dock Green" and "Dharma and Greg"!

You wouldn't fancy her now. The actress has been decomposing for about 10 years now. But I could be wrong about you.

Does Mrs Josco know about this fantasy then?

I watched The Mummy (1999 version) the other night. He was in it as the eccentric pilot. Horrific acting (though the same can be said of most of the cast in that film).

Definitely one of those "I thought he died years ago" names, partly because his most famous charecter "Dr Bombay on Bewitched" looked much older then his actual age.

That is sad, he was a good actor...but at least we still have Nick Offerman.

That's a shame, Iiked him though not enough to leave him off my alternative 50.
