Great intel, although whether you take this as a reduced life expectancy for Roddy or Sison is up to you.

Jose Maria Sison aka Joma Sison reportedly dead: https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2022/12/17/2231445/cpp-founder-joma-sison-dies-83

Hans Modrow, second to the last (before Lothar de Maiziere) head of government of East Germany has died aged 95

https://www.tagesschau.de/inland/hans-modrow-gestorben-101.html

He was the last to bear the title of « Chairman of the Council of the Ministers »as De Maiziere was « Minister President »

I also put it in « Political Frailty », I don’t know which topic is more suitable

I did a list of the remaining living Soviet ministers (excluding Ryzhkov as well as Silayev and Gorby who were alive back then) and the list looks a bit like it'll be three times smaller in two years. A couple of them could be dead already. The average age of those remaining is probably over 86. Here are the oldest ones:

Boris Kravtsov (1922) Minister of Justice 1984-1989

Gennady Voronovsky (1924) Minister of Electrical Industry 1985-1986

Lev Vasilyev (1925-2023) Minister of Mechanical Engineering for Light and Food Industry and Household Appliances 1984-1988

Nikolai Lukonin (1928) Minister of Atomic Energy 1986-1989

Vitaly Chudin (1929-2012) Minister of Construction, Road and Municipal Engineering 1980-1985

While never a minister Khrushchev/Brezhnev soviet tv boss and Nuremberg trials participant Enver Mamedov's probably a near future death. Now 99, he was already incredibly frail and on oxygen nearly three years ago.

Egon Krenz is probably the prime candidate for last surviving old-school / Eastern Bloc commie.

He's 85 years old now, and was at a book reading three weeks ago, still looking stable, and generally makes an upbeat impression:

To be fair, we could say that Krenz is the last surviving communist head of state/premier though it was only for a few months

Newcomer in the top 100 oldest state leaders list is former Head of State of PR Kampuchea (now Cambodia), ancient socialist and former Khmer Rouge member Heng Samrin. He's still very active, at 88 still serving as the President of the National Assembly, looks much better than most other current Cambodian govt members and I don't think he'll die anytime soon.

If Krenz will live more or less for another decade, he will end up on the DL. Would be a too big relic to miss.

Soviet relic Kallibek Kamalov, leader of the Karakalpak ASSR for 20 years (1963-1984), made a rare appearance (and did a speech) at an event of Uzbekistan dictator Shavkat Mirziyoyev's "Liberal" "Democratic" Party either last week or earlier this week:

97 years old. Looks slightly better than that corpse next to him, likely another Soviet relic but I can't recognize him.

Edit: Should be the oldest living Soviet politician after Boris Kravtsov (1922), Nizoramo Zaripova (1923) and Lev Vasilyev (1925-2023). There's some I'm not 100% sure are alive, most notably Gennady Voronovsky (1924), politician/military commander Mikhail Popkov (1924-2023), Nikolay Shubnikov (1924) and former Central Committee member Raisa Dementyeva (1925-2022). Dementyeva if still alive would be one of the two or three still living 25th central committee members.

Are Song Binbin (1949) and Steel Warrior Mai Xiande (1945) the last living great heroes of Mao-era propaganda?

Fascism: Let's discriminate against the downtrodden.

Communism: Let's discriminate against the lucky.

How about we don't discriminate against anyone?!

That's why jealousy is one of the Deadly Sins. It will lead to more evil and eventually, the people will grin when they hear "counter-revolutionaries" are being sent to camps.

Just as the hatred and anger of fascism leads to hurting many innocent people.
