It does, but it’s just a shame it’ll come with the asterisk of him being the oldest posthumous winner

He was still alive when nominated. Surely that makes it a gray area? It wasn’t a posthumous award in reality.

 

You can’t get nominated for an MBE when you’re dead. But you still get the MBE if you die after the nomination.

I think it’s debatable, Wikipedia still has Pinetop as the oldest winner and his age is counted from the day he won the award.
