Sean 6,562 Posted December 29, 2024 Biden is now the oldest living President. Thats my first DDP sub in play now. I decided a few years ago I wasn't going to put centenarians on my main list but I picked Carter last year at 99 thinking there was no chance he would make 100.I made an exception and picked him for DDP 25.One of those names I was just never going to drop.

Trump, Bush and Clinton were all born between June and August of 1946, but I wouldn't be shocked if he went well before the other two.

chiesa52 135 Posted December 29, 2024 Wow, that was a big surprise- he just sort of sneaked in and snuffed it!!! He was a very good guy, but I am thinking he was probably glad to go at this point- it will be very interesting to see who does his eulogy, won't it? I would like to see Clinton. although he is kind of frail!
Whitehouse 880 Posted December 29, 2024 There goes the neighbourhood..... I expect when the tap is closed on January 1, that a lot of members have scored better than the main list this year. Only 6....

Bush will outlast them both by a very considerable margin.

Last time that has happened was with Ronald Reagan who was the oldest President throughout as his two terms as his three surviving predecessors were all younger. The instance before that was of course Richard Nixon who following the death of LBJ became the only living president until Ford who was 6 months his junior took over 18 months later. 5
