Guest Himler Posted January 25, 2006 If Bush has the Texan Balls Of Steel that he wishes us to belive he has, then how about: an open topped motercade through downtown Dallas?
Brinsworth House Baiter 12 Posted January 25, 2006 Jesus! I don't know what's bothering me most- the sinister turn of this thread or Star Crossed's past! All I was highlighting is that, despite the most advance security in the world, our senior public figures have to give people prior notification of where they are going to be for publicity reasons. It would take a pretty impressive body guard to stop a bullet, so it's down the the intelligence agency to find a preventative measure, not a cure. If the CIA/MI5 want to bug my phone, then they are welcome. All they will find is the occassion order for a takeaway and some lovey-dovey talk - hardly revolutionary. And I was only joking, bud. Don't let me stop you using sensitive keywords on the Internet... Don't let the bastards grind you down by fuelling any paranoia. Oh, but check that peep-hole before opening the door... it might not be the Chinese... Oh, and as for that lovey dovey talk... those numbers cost a fortune you know. Harvester Of Souls 40 Posted February 2, 2006 With Bush's pitiable stupidity assassination is unlikely... I would imagine such a formidable genius will be found dead, in the White House, after sharing a bath with the toaster.
Banshees Scream 110 Posted February 3, 2006 I would say we can only live in hope Won't happen, but i'm sure some very rude unexpected events will once again occur somewhere in the near future..
Guest Himler Posted February 3, 2006 Just how hard would it be to assassinate Bush (not that I'd want it to happen)? How far in advance are his movements made public, because the Royal Family details are available weeks, if not months, in advance. But I suppose it would have to be a suicide assassin who did it, because a bomb would be found etc. Just a thought. Woh, steady on there bud. Just an observation, but in this current global climate, is it such a hot idea to be posting stuff on the Net containing such inflammatory words next to the Pres of the USA's name? I'm not preaching you understand, just concerned that a fellow DeathLister doesn't start hearing echoed delays on their telephone receiver or get paid a visit by those men with muddied faces wearing in ear microphones. Or am I watching too many films? Watching Fahrenheit 9/11 over and over for an entire weekend may have been a mistake.
weatherman90 7 Posted March 8, 2006 I dont know if anyone already brought up the infamous twenty-year curse of the United States Presidents, but if you haven't heard of it, here's how it goes. -The president who served in and or was elected in 1840, William Henry Harrison, died in office -The president who served in and or was elected in 1860, Abraham Lincoln, was assassinated in office -The president who served in and or was elected in 1880, James Garfield, was assassinated in office -The president who served in and or was elected in 1900, William McKinley, was assassinated in office -The president who served in and or was elected in 1920, Warren Harding, died in office -The president who served in and or was elected in 1940, Franklin Roosevelt, died in office -The president who served in and or was elected in 1960, John. F. Kennedy, was assassinated in office -The president who served in and or was elected in 1980, our friend Ronnie Reagan, suffered an assassination attempt, and barlely survived; the first president to break the curse So now, George W. Bush was president in 2000. So will the curse resume, or has it been broken?
Guest iain Posted March 8, 2006 of course he wont be assassinated..dont be so bloody stupid. Please try to come up with sensible realistic possibilities for peoples possible demise..jeez PS pres Bush was NOT president in 2000..he didnt take office till january 20,2001..so that shoots your theory to pieces! come to that JFK wasnt president till 1961 and Reagan till 1981..please try and learn the difference between being Electe prsident and actually taking office! weatherman90 7 Posted March 8, 2006 Iain, in case you don't already know, assassinations of presidents are far from uncommon. I did make a slight error, the curse goes that every president who was elected or served in the 20 year increments. It's not some wacky theory that I just came up with either; if you would read or study about presidents, you would find that it has been published in many books. Only trouble is that's not meant to happen for another year, I believe the venue is meant to be Chicago but I'll have to double check on that
maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted September 1, 2006 The last presidents to suffer serious assassination attempts - Ford and Reagan - seemed to derive an odd benefit in terms of longevity. I hope no-one takes a pop a Dubaya.
CarolAnn 926 Posted September 2, 2006 I have to admit that the thought of President Bush doesn't thrill me too much, but considering the constitutional succession I hope to the god I don't even believe in that he stays alive. Vice President Richard Cheney - enough said Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert - aside from his general appearance giving me icks, he's linked to Jack Abramoff, Enron, and George Soros. President pro tempore of the Senate Ted Stevens - opposes net neutrality (a hanging offense to me) and is the power behind the Gravina Island Bridge (the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere") Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice - weeelllll... Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson - formerly John Erlichman's assistant (under Nixon), although I do find it amusing that he precedes... Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld - Attorney General Alberto Gonzales - wants to know everything I say every minute of every day about everything. I've considered carrying a recorder of some sort and sending him CDs. And the rest..... Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez - ineligible/not native born Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao - ineligible/not native born Secretary of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Alphonso Jackson Secretary of Transportation Maria Cino - acting Secretary, not eligible Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings Secretary of Veterans Affairs Jim Nicholson Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff - may be moved to #8 on the list pending House of Representatives approval. This concludes today's lesson in the United States Constitution.
Rotten Ali 600 Posted September 2, 2006 Sure Bush is a target. But do any of odd few thousand supporters of the Bin-Ladens of this world want to put up on such an obviously tough suicide run? Talking about or filming such an act in Chicago brings it only closer. I'm no fan of George or the GOP, but I'd sooner see him up on a charge in the ICC than be blown away this year or next. Anyway, its a bit far fetched to think that anyone with a hand gun can get within point blank range in this day and age. With so many RPG's knocking about in Afghanistan and Iraq, I would think any threat would come during ad-hoc Bush visits into the war zone.
weatherman90 7 Posted September 20, 2006 As a Republican I would just like to apologize to the world for George W Bush. I admit that he is a total piece of ignorant sh*t, and the world would be a better place with him dead. (The above material was posted under my name by an abusive moderator.)
