In the book, this serves as a major characterization point for Ron... As until that point we didn't realize how (paradoxically) poor they were (despite his father holding a rather important civil position in the magic government, among other things). The woman's character is alluded to or mentioned in other books, though weirdly (at least by JKR standards), she's never been given a name. I intentionally cut off the notability at supporting cast members and omitted any extras from my list because the extended cast list is ridiculously long. There were 8 films after all. I mainly listed her because someone mentioned her a few posts above.
