Banshees Scream 110 Posted August 21, 2005 We tried an anti-cancer tea that a loving customer/friend brought from Europe last week... Is this some granny like alternative to chemotherapy?? 'Oh, you have cancer? That's so sad. Have this nice cup of tea and everything will be okay...' It's most likely some sort of natural healing. Though of course that usually doesn't help you when your dying of a fatal disease. I guess when ever i hear someone has a bad disease and they say there turning towards natural healing i suppose then right away i cross there name out with my red highlighter. VileBody 11 Posted August 23, 2005 I see Phyllis King, the oldest living Wimbledon champion, is 100 today. She - and presumably someone else even less well known (?) - won the Women's Doubles in 1931. You can merge this with sportspersons, the "girls" thread or just 2006 possibles - take your pick! <As Requested - DWB >

Cowboy Ronnie 78 Posted August 26, 2005 given the famous (although I'm not sure I've seen even a second of any of his films) scene in The Seventh Seal where The Grim Reaper plays a game of chess, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seventh_Seal seems like old Ingie would be a perfect DL selection. Only question is how likely he is to be caught check mate in '06....

Guest iain Posted August 26, 2005 There are serious concerns over the health of the former SDLP leader Lord Gerry Fitt.A source close to his family said that the 79-year-old peer was gravely ill and was being looked after at his home in England. Lord Fitt, who has a heart condition, has been in declining health for several months story at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/4187408.stm
football_fan 42 Posted August 26, 2005 (edited) He would be a good choice for the 2006 deathlist if he survives until then. Disregard that - he's gone. First SDLP leader Lord Fitt dies Edited August 26, 2005 by football_fan
Guest lived so lets die. Posted August 26, 2005 I hav'nt had one pick die on my list at the moment, so if no one dies at all i may as well put the same list up for next year. Until someone does die im surprised Jack Klugman has'nt kicked it yet as for ideas i think Ross Davidson will be one to put money on because he's terminally ill. Banshees Scream 110 Posted August 27, 2005 I don't live in the UK so apparently i wouldn't know. Though from the sound of this street the condition of most of the elderly people sounds a bit compulsive. I plan to take a vacation to Great Brittan soon some day. Just for telling me maybe i'll take a quick stroll down this street and maybe i'll catch one of these "Old people outside" Then from up close i would be able to tell if they should be put on the DL or not. But i figure by the time i take that vacation the street will be pretty much empty.
