The Living Dead

Recommended Posts

A crackerjack pencil used to be worth more than a Blue Peter Badge which reminds me John Noakes is getting on a bit now, not that he's one of the living dead, more like greatest living Englishman. I loved that man... sort of.

John Noakes was great. I remember him climbing up Nelson's column to clean it (sans Shep I think) and doing a parachute jump. And who could ever forget him slipping over on elephant S**t. He could have done Blue Peter on his own as Pete & Val were a couple of wimps.

It's occurred to me that I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is a shortcut to a whole load of living dead. I had completely forgotten Cannon and Ball. Carol Thatcher's "success" is yet one more turn of the rack on which her mother's tortured reputation is now so thinly stretched. The milk snatcher's family is cursed for ever more. Carry on living Lady T, reap what you sowed

:sicktherm: I hadn't realised Nelson's Column was that tall!

Nelson's column & the parachute jump were separate events.

Mrs T didn't watch the programme ... Carol didn't even tell her she was in it. I read somewhere that Mark was always favoured by Maggie & Dennis. A shame because Carol is 100 times more intelligent.

Course she watched it. What else has she to do, dribblin down her cardie in East Dulwich? If Carol is intelligent why did she sign up for this bollocks? OK probably a few score thousand quid had something to do with it. But is it worth that to be consigned to the Living Dead? It's like a Faustian pact with Channel Four.

I doubt Mrs. T watched it. Is she did, I'm sure she stopped with the peeing incident which was at the beginning.

Carol Thatcher could make a million from her time on the show if she plays her cards right.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Iron Lady herself isn't prone to the odd 'peeing incident' these days.

Maggie used the Royal "we" to describe herself.

Unlike Carol, who uses her wee for a quick bit of TV infamy.

Margeret Thatcher was never royalty and she never will be.

Of course the woman herself may think she's royalty?

No Banshee, that wasn't a quote from "I'm a waste of space etc..." Old ma Thatch actually said it when she announced the birth of her first grandchild on the steps of Buckingam Place in 19somethingorother. It must have been a bumpy birth.

That was missprint but I think I prefer Buckingham Place...like a street in Eastenders. Liz and the old man down the gaff, Maggie toasting her toes by the fire, a corgie in her lap, all watching "I'm a celeb etc".

Liz nudges the old man: "'Ere Phil isn't that Cawol having a pee down there."

Phil: "Leave off gewl."

Maggie: "One is watching one's daughter don't one know."

Liz: "Eeeeow, how charming."

That reminds me of the joke about Jeremy Beadle that ends with the punchline "...but on the other hand, it's massive"
