Football's equivalent to Smash Hits/NME, whereas today you have Four Four Two, which is Q, basically... NEVER!!!!!! It was 'Shoot' 1
Toast 16,137 Posted October 10, 2017 I saw a copy of Four Four Two in Sainsburys today. It had Zinedine Zidane on the cover. I thought for a moment I'd been whisked back in time. Sadly not.
msc 18,439 Posted October 10, 2017 I used to buy World Soccer for Grumpy Brian's train of thought, but now they just put them online anyhow...

msc 18,439 Posted October 11, 2017 USA eliminated from the World Cup, in qualifying. That sort of thing never happened under Obama. Panama qualified instead. 1
CaptainChorizo 1,977 Posted October 11, 2017 Long term this is the best thing for Us Soccer, sucks though for guys like Dempsey and Howard not to get to one last WC
RIP Wee Jum 1,559 Posted October 12, 2017 The wee ginger prick is away from the Scotland setup Hopefully Mark McGhee of Malky MacKay dont replace him
YoungWillz 21,037 Posted October 12, 2017 I don't see the good in this. Scotland have been built up into a team that has held its own. Everyone would have had England and Slovakia through before a ball was kicked. Strachan has been to a WC, been an inspiration and is actually Scottish - playing for the jersey has been a severe problem for players who weren't born here. Who steps in? Name one former Scottish International who wants the job.
msc 18,439 Posted October 12, 2017 David Moyes was the favourite last I heard. FFS.

RIP Wee Jum 1,559 Posted October 12, 2017 And before you ask, I think Steve Clarke or Derek McInnes would be a very good appoitment
charon 4,943 Posted October 12, 2017 McInnes won't leave the sheep. God forgive us if Big Sam gets it. Scots faither. Re WGS YW, he fucked up by not playing Griff, when he did, results happened. His blind spot should've cost him the job years ago. I wid take Stevie Clarkio out of that List.

maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted October 14, 2017 The soul-less concrete new-build abomination of Colchester United awaits - the main tension being whether Carlisle United can survive 90 minutes without adding to the already appaling disciplinary record. For as long as we can rely on a handful of truly hapless clubs - Port Vale, Forest Green and Chesterfield - our league status isn't threatened but - frankly - this is a season in which the chip shops and pre-match pub time figure large in my list of enjoyments. I'll let you know

Nope, going on the banter around me today it's Danny - yellow card - Grainger Seriously, he celebrated a massive let off (obvious foul that only got him a talking to) by upendending another Colchester player a few minutes later to ensure his booking. Fond of a mid-season break is our Danny.
