Guest Guest Posted August 7, 2007 With the death of Lee Hazlewood, No Noose Is Good Noose loses the top 3. Hold your horses. He isn't officially dead yet. Now it is official. He is dead. Now to go for Castro maybe. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6933162.stm

Guest Guest Posted August 30, 2007 BBC obit for Raymond Barre. Congratulations to ThePoitouTeam for picking him as a unique pick bonus. Well done to the same team for picking Messmer. Well done to DDT for his pick of Hilly Kristal. I predict an obit soon for Hans Ruesch for Mr. Odstock
Star Crossed 33 Posted August 30, 2007 Well done to DDT for his pick of Hilly Kristal. ... Hilly Kristal's dead? Fantastic! They're bound to be showing two of my favourite movies, "City Slickers" and "When Harry Met Sally", on telly again soon!
maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted September 4, 2007 SB and RK are likely to need a week off work, over 70 teams, including 12 jokers, had Jane Tomlinson fingered for a fall.

Octopus of Odstock 2,197 Posted September 4, 2007 Well, I make it just one point between Football Fan & Rotten Ali now... Top 15 after Tomlinson's snuffing;- 1 Meet Your Maker 82 2 STAB_in_the_DARK 81 3 Mollie Sugden's Old Pussy 72 4 R.I.P. It Up And Start 68 5 Impaled On The Antlers Of Doom 67 6 Dead Men Walking 65 7 Eejit 61 = Bazzilliant 61 9 The Pale Rider 60 10 Deceased Hose 59 = Carkers' Convention 2007 59 12 Octopus of Odstock 57 ** (63 if Ruesch Obit) 13 No Noose Is Good Noose 55 14 We Spin Terror 54 = Go Fish 54 So I'm either in 12th, or 7th, dependent on if I'm successful or not in achieving that obit. Jane's death has certainly shook things around.
maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted September 4, 2007 Jane's death has certainly shook things around. The way she'd have wanted it, surely? How long before somebody puts in the obvious joke about buying her bike on e-bay?
Windsor 2,233 Posted September 4, 2007 SB and RK are likely to need a week off work, over 70 teams, including 12 jokers, had Jane Tomlinson fingered for a fall. This means another hit for rotten ali on his shadowlist. The good news is that we are now (almost) even with non-celebrities on our shadow lists. I had three, and he had three (not counting Lindsay Hughes). Last count, I had 15 hits - now he has 12. I can assure him that at the end of the year, I will have stripped his team down (and mine) to cater to the Deathlist unofficial rule book. Call it sour grapes if you want to. Oh and one more thing DDT. if the bali bombers were executed and Fidel Castro has died, how many points would you have?
Godot 149 Posted September 9, 2007 Looking again at the DDP scoring system I would recommend some adjustments for next year: I think 18 would be better lower age limit but if it remains 16 I think picks between 16 and 20 should get no more than one or two points. There are few celebrities here anyway. Unique pics should get more points because they are becoming harder to come by as the entry field expands.
