Road Race, not Time Trial, as that was Tuesday.

Report in English from Cycling Weekly.

Dead

Very sad news.

I watched the para races yesterday which were held later on that morning on the BBC website and at one point the various races went past what I think might have been the accident site as the commentators did suggest it was an accident in an earlier race.

There's been some speculation today that Furrer wasn't found until an hour after she'd crashed.  I find that hard to believe, but, if true, it is bordering on the race organisers being criminally negligent.

Seems to be true - lots of talk today during the men’s race about how unlike the rest of the season there is no race radios and elsewhere a lot of people are blaming their absence for this.

Chris Hoy has some type of cancer. Give him a thread if you wish. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/68321710

Terminally Ill. Has been given Two to Four years wirh prostate cancer but that was given to him a year ago pre treatment which 25% of people who started it in 2011 are still alive. Maybe now is time for a thread as you suggested.
