Guest Bradfield Posted September 30, 2009 Actor James Dean died in a car crash today in 1955, aged just 24... And is it me or has Dean's iconic status just dimmed a bit in the last decade or so? I should imagine that most of the youth of today don't know who he is. And I didn't think he was that good anyway, a tad overrated. Isn't this the Russ Abbot thread? He doesn't look a bit like him. I don't think so... I haven't heard anyone mention his (Ledger's) name for quite some time now, which has certainly made me happy. Never saw what the big deal about him was. themaninblack 2,112 Posted October 2, 2009 Graham Arthur Chapman died on this day in 1989. A little premature. He actually died on October 4th, one day before the twentieth anniversary of the first broadcast of Monty Python's Flying Circus... Now it's twenty years since that anniversary, forty years overall. Doesn't time fly?

themaninblack 2,112 Posted October 5, 2009 The brilliant Leonard Rossiter died 25 years ago today... Funny how the memories play tricks. Pierce was arrested while in office for running over an old woman with his horse, but his case was dropped due to insufficient evidence.
