Had almost made a thread for him...but I think he might not be such a 2025 slam dunk.

Sounds like he might be fine for the moment but still think he might be one those worth a slot towards the lower end of the list.

That's the most important Italian sports journal. The same author already announced dead in 2021 Tommy Robb, while he is still alive. Should be fired.

He raced motorcycles in Northern Ireland and lived to be 90, not a claim many people could make

Dave Brodie, British racing driver, reportedly dead aged 81. Similar reports from reputable sources on Facebook.

One of his best friends - and a friend of mine - has posted a tribute to him, so it's definitely true. Apparently died beginning of this week. Certainly a Marmite character.

I've just taken a look at Fred Lorenzen's Facebook profile (run by his daughter) and for an 89 year old man diagnosed with dementia around 12ish years ago (with rumored symptoms since the mid 1990s mind you), wheelchair bound and in an assisted living facility for at least 10, he's held up quite well. However in his latest pics in December on his 89th birthday he has an IV tube attached to his wrist and he's looking really frail now. If he lives to his 90th birthday, he's immortal material.

Fred Lorenzen reportedly dead: https://www.nascar.com/news-media/2024/12/18/fred-lorenzen-nascar-hall-of-famer-dies-at-89/

Ironic. When I saw Thatcher's post some hours ago I immediately thought it was finally Lorenzen, and it wasn't. Then he was announced dead a few hours later. Spooky.

For Wikipedia info, Brodie died on the 17th in North London.

Also dead is former Indy 500 driver, Gary Irvin, who was 80. Only on social media at mo, no formal obit yet.
