BrunoBrimley 86 Posted January 1, 2010 The Frank Thornton thread Supposedly still at work and expecting to be 89 on the 15th of this month he is connected by more than name to Frank Boff Bough. I'd give him another 8 years.
The Watcher 314 Posted January 6, 2010 Both Frank Thornton & Peter Sallis are nearing 90 and extremely frail which is why there have been no new Last of the Summer Wines for a year. Frank Thornton appeared a generation older than Nicholas Smith who is a sprightly 75 & played Mr Rumbold to Frank Thornton;s Captain Peacock in Are You Being Served? jumpinjackflash22 0 Posted January 13, 2010 I put both Sallis and Thornton in my list. Mainly due to both AYBS? and LOTSW having so many casualties. Molly Sugden and Wendy Richards died last year, so that Leaves Thronton to go next! And in last Of The Summer Wine, Nora Batty died a few years ago.
philheybrookbay 439 Posted August 30, 2010 As reported in the "Clegg Thread" Last of Summer Wine has ended. Could this signal the end for the Peacock??

Phantom 2,531 Posted March 18, 2013 Very sad. Such a great actor. I was fortunate to see him in a production of Harvey with Gorden Kaye as Elwood P. Dowd. I had completely forgotten that Rue McClanahan was in the same production. I think I still have the program in a box in the basement somewhere.
