rockhopper penguin 2,265 Posted July 13, 2016 11th different PM of my lifetime (12th new incumbent as Harold Wilson lost then won again), 5th of my lifetime. Deathray 2,941 Posted July 13, 2016 Really hope we get the fixed term parliaments act repealed. Snap elections seem much more fun than this eternal drag between elections. The idea of an election based on parliamentary maths appeals right now
Deathray 2,941 Posted July 13, 2016 When do people think we'lol see a new PM - 2020, 2025, 2030, 2035, 2040?
rockhopper penguin 2,265 Posted July 13, 2016 May will want to stick this out (from May to December - you heard it here first) as the stability candidate so at least 2020. But, if Tory MPs start dropping like flies (and no one would want that) or, the Brexiters feel betrayed, then something could happen earlier. Having a credible opposition in place might help as well. Youwanticewiththat 611 Posted July 14, 2016 Boris! She'll open a special side drawer on her desk every morning and see his shrivelled ballsack, toy with it, and send it back into the dark for another day. YoungWillz 21,076 Posted July 14, 2016 Liz Truss - the woman who got indignant over the importation of cheese to the UK - Justice Secretary? Stephen Crabb resigns "in the interests of his family" - the man who only a couple of weeks ago was wanting to be PM? This is hilarious.

Can you claim insurance for political unrest? Depends on which Kurds you talk about. The PKK are labelled terrorists by Erdogan and he broke a ceasefire with them last year. Turkey has hardly been warm towards the Kurdish forces fighting ISIS either. Guess they could be persuaded to support the coup, but honestly this is not something I'm an expert on. Deathray 2,941 Posted July 15, 2016 Apparently the military in Turkey view there roles as upholding secular democracy on behalf of the countries founder - which is why they have so many coups. Police work for the government - ,military work the public. This could get interesting but will likely be over in days
