Yorkshire-born American oncologist who founded Ronald McDonald House Charities in Philadelphia, in 1974. Even if the name is not familiar, everyone will recognise the logo (unless you've literally never been inside a McDonald's!). Sir Creep 7,012 Posted April 27, 2023 John Pappajohn, an impactful Iowa business leader and philanthropist, has died. He was 94. Pappajohn, along with his wife, Mary, were well known for their namesake — the John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park in Des Moines. She died in March of 2022.
