lol I hate that term, and honestly never search it.  Probably my loss on a few obits.

It's very used in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Yes, a nicer way to say "dead as a dead dog".

There can't be many survivors of the Andrea Doria disaster still around - the website for survivors hasn't been updated since 2007. Anyway, there's one less now with the death of Second Officer Guido Badano.

Leaving a total of 5 people on earth named Guido.

As noted elsewhere, wrestler Moondog Rex has died.  He was the last surviving core member of the Moondogs heel stable.  In order of first appearance as a member of the faction, the group consisted of:

Moondog King (Edward White) - (May 18, 1949 to August 26, 2005)

Moondog Rex (Randy Colley) - (May 2, 1950 to December 15, 2019)

Moondog Spot (Larry Booker) - (January 6, 1952 to November 29, 2003)

Moondog Spike (William Smithson) - (May 31, 1950 to March 21, 2013)

Moondog Cujo (Lanny Kean) - (April 19, 1960 to January 13, 2009)

None of them lived to see 70.

Cross posting this into this thread because ... it’s why this thread is here. It should take precedent if the person qualifies.

The last founding faculty member of Judson University in Elgin (IL) has diedRobert D. Erickson died Monday in Elgin at age 90, according to a university news release. He taught at Judson for more than 50 years.

Throughout his tenure, Erickson was known for never missing a class.

And true to the comedy of Alan King’s: ‘He is survived by his wife of 67 years.’

Yvonne Blenkinsop, last of the "headscarf revolutionaries" has died.

Following two trawler sinkings in early 1968, she and a group of other women formed the Hessle Road Women's Committee to campaign for better safety for fishermen. A third trawler was lost at sea soon after, bringing the total to 58 lives lost.

All the safety measures the group proposed were subsequently adopted.

It has been more than 65 years since a devastating Mount Oldfield mudslide in Prince Rupert claimed the lives of seven people. Now, the sole survivor, dubbed “The Miracle Baby,” who was rescued from the rubble, has died.

Selma Beilby, nee Murray, was the miracle baby in 1957 as the 18-month-old only survivor after three houses were swept off their foundations under more than 1,000 tons of rock and mud crushed the dwellings.

Taiwan’s last known survivor of Japan’s wartime sexual slavery has died at the age of 92, according to the island’s foreign ministry, which called the issue a “wound in human history”.

Referred to as “comfort women”, more than 200,000 women were sexually enslaved by Japan’s military during the second world war, mostly from South Korea but also from Taiwan, China, and Indonesia.

In Taiwan, which Japan ruled from 1895 to 1945, nearly 60 women had come forward over the years as survivors, according to Taipei’s Women’s Rescue Foundation, which estimates there were at least 2,000.

The foundation said on Monday the island’s last known survivor – who did not want her name made public– died on 10 May at the age of 92.
