Joey Russ 7,220 Posted November 5, 2016 I think she is becoming another Fergie Frederiksen, who got a BBC page after she died but no obit: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/artists/d25d395a-3891-4243-9a05-8308ad24969d

Sean 6,311 Posted November 7, 2016 I think she is becoming another Fergie Frederiksen, who got a BBC page after she died but no obit: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/artists/d25d395a-3891-4243-9a05-8308ad24969d Shaun does this count. It is on the BBC and says she is dead or are they holding back to use her on Friday's Last Word. I am going to say yes on the basis that the ruules say the game can be restarted when a bbc link verifying age and the fact they have died. The rules are contradictory as it also says in the rules that a BBC national news or article or obit is required. As Starr has a link verifying her age and deceased status it is on the margins of acceptability as I made the criteria contradictory and ambiguous.Well done book. Here are my entries for next round: 1920:Richard Adams. Clarissa Eden 1921:Peter Sallis. Carol Channing 1922:Denis Norden. Lilianne Bettencourt 1923:Peter Vaughan. Valentina Cortese 1924:Leslie Phillips Mary Warnock 1925:Hal Holbrook. Barbara Bush 1926:Patrick Kenkin. Cloris Leachman 1927:Jim Prior. June Brown 1928:Bruce Forsyth. Marion Ross 1929:Roger Bannister Joan Plowright
Sean 6,311 Posted November 7, 2016 It's a little frustrating with this f**king "BBC obits only" I am thinking of relaxing the Obit criteria when people cant make a full list.Either that or when less than two people concede we can just end the game.
Sean 6,311 Posted November 7, 2016 Anyone who disagrees with my interpretation of my poorly worded rules feel free to take the matter to the high court for legal clarification.
Sean 6,311 Posted November 7, 2016 Yep that counts. Mine: 1920: Richard Adams Clarissa Eden 1921:Peter Sallis. Carol Channing 1922:Denis Norden. lilianne Bettencourt 1923:Peter Vaughan. Glynis Johns 1924:Leslie Phillips Mary Warnock 1925:Hal Holbrook. Dorothy Malone 1926:Fidel Castro. Cloris Leachman 1927:Sidney Poitier Fanella Fielding 1928:Bruce Forsyth. Marion Ross 1929:Roger Bannister Joan Plowright Hasen't JoeyRuss got in before you with Glynis Johns? Yes I will pick Valentina Cortese instead.I have Valentina Cortese on my list.Unfortunately that's not how it works on 20/20. It's first come first serve and every person is open once someone dies. I see you haven't claimed your team again for this round. Oh, that does not matter. I'm not intentioned to claim it anymore, mainly because I have no time to follow every round of this deadpool. This is not the type of deadpool I can compete in as I find it difficult to follow all the rounds during the week. Joeyruss is correct but I am happy to change the rules to lock in nominations so they are automatically carried forward to the next round if there is universal agreement. Sean 6,311 Posted November 7, 2016 So if the BBC don't cough up for Kay Starr before another hit does that mean Book loses out on their point? Yes it would but fortunately for book the BBC coughed up an article that satisfies the rules (just).

Toast 16,129 Posted November 7, 2016 Thanks. I was thinking of trying to compile a team of new names, so wanted a list to check against. Not sure it's possible to make a feasible selection though, since the BBC clearly can no longer be trusted to report notable deaths.

I agree.I am willing to relax the obit rules if there are no objections. If most of the regular players like this I can make the obit criteria wider. That way we can carry on the game for another couple of years. If all the regulars like this post I will put forward some suggestions.
