I'm able to keep the economy running from home, in a rather more constructive manner than a few pints and steak at Wetherspoons is going to manage, cheers.

Thanks. Added those three to Highly Likely. Yeah they were probably all just session musicians anyway. It looks like Hugg, McGuinness and Rivers were the primary ones though. I might have a digger deep Sunday when I’m back at my desk.

 

Hi-Tension. Yes I agree. About 1/3 of the lineup above are not traceable e.g the early saxophonist Sydor. However, from looking at their Twitter/FB pages they have a good habit of alerting fans when an associated member of the group or a relative of a member dies. So there’s a possibility they’re all still about and we’ll hear when the first passes.

Cheers. No need to go through the parent route. Found him in the GRO okay. Born in Christchurch as Daniel G Balkwill, 1949. Also just found Malcolm "Mal" Player in there in 1952.

John Jones is on FB. Now goes under Joe Jones and plays with the QED rock band. Says he's from Leicester originally on his profile, now lives in Yetminster. Born 14th April. Can't find him in GRO or Ancestry to get the year.

Love this. It's a very iconic tune and I'm somewhat surprised it hasn't been resurrected in the charts by an act in recent times.

When I was digging out the song for the section above, I learnt that there was a dance which accompanied it upon its original release.

A dance so awful that anyone would be forgiven for thinking that Stevie Wonder choreographed it.

Account is private sadly so can't see any bio details. I found his marriage certificate from the info about his wife on his own website and that's what got me his real name. I imagine he was born early 50s.

I did, and sadly I can't find anyone under the name of Harold Jenkins born in North Fork, Virginia. Hundreds of them in wider Virginia and New York so it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
