So, er..... what is that? Just normal recipes by holocaust survivors? Or is it a collection of ingeniously resourceful recipes that will come in really useful if you are ever put into concentration camp(s)? Like how to make a lovely chilli con carne out of just dead rats? One thing is for sure, they wouldn't have been short of an oven or two...

I promise not to taunt you about it. If you think I'm going to rabbit on and on about it, then you're wrong. And I'm sure if you still feel bad about it, over time you will find my posts to be a Wonderland of sympathy. Or a tea party of sympathy, if you like. And I'm sure the obit will come eventually, and by the time it's Christmas and everyone is singing Carrolls, you will be grinning like a Cheshire Cat.

Could somebody explain how it's possible to hang yourself from a doorknob? (Especially if you're very tall.) Shouldn't you have to jump off something, or summat. Open the door, tie a rope or summat around the knob that is on the other side of the door you are standing against, drape the rope over the top of the door, make a noose, stand on a chair, put the noose around yer neck, kick the chair away and yer dead, or summat. Ah, the other side of the door, I see. That's still quite tricky for someone who's 6' 3", surely. Not a nice way to go, I'd imagine. Erm, actually in the one film I saw it happen in, it was just a really, really short noose/piece of rope that you tie to the doorknob on the same side you're on........ no slinging a rope over the door or anything like that. Pretty simple really. I also saw it used in an episode of The Wire as a murder method, when some character was killed for being a prison snitch (I think, can't be bothered to double check). The auto-erotic accidents (like Hutchence) were short ropes on the same side. Choking and wanking isn't the same with an open door and passers by getting a look in! Oh I dunno. Some people would get off on that.

I agree. I also think that people whinging about them cancelling their tour dates are cunts. And I also think that if there was ever any doubt that one day someone will make a film of Jagger's life, this ensures that it will now happen.

At first I read that as "Only the 2nd politician ever to lie in parliament"... and I was rather baffled for a second.

I am not a massive fan of Mick Jagger, but I do think it is poor form of a number of UK tabloids to print the picture of him at the moment he is told of his long term partners unexpected death.
