japanese composer and pianist, Joe Hisaishi, popular for his work on Studio Ghibli films, has postponed another concert due to ill health. probably nothing (as it is cold and flu season afterall, and he is a 74-years old man), but maybe something to keep an eye on. this will be the 6th postponed or cancelled concert in 2 years, we'll see if these cancellations increase in frequency. -
going with woodward until i’m right

i agree that the performance of the 2024 list was just bad luck, but i thought this would give people a cheap chuckle.

some music themed suggestions for the DL: Mick Jones (81), Songwriter/Guitarist “Foreigner” - Parkinson’s Disease for several years; can no longer tour as of mid-2023 John Kander (98), Composer (“Cabaret”, “Chicago”, “New York, New York”) - Old, but still sharp, might make 100 Neil Young (80), Musician - Diabetic with multiple health problems over the years; cancelled tour for ‘health reasons’ Roger O’Donnell (70), Musician (The Cure) - Lymphoma and Blood Cancer (but appears to be on the up-and-up, if you think a relapse is worth the gamble) Robin Trower (80), Guitarist (Procal Harum) - Undisclosed serious health issues and requiring ‘major operation’. some shadow list suggestions for the rest (as they likely aren't famous enough in the UK): Francois Clemens (80), Actor (Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood) and Grammy-Winning singer - Poor health (following multiple strokes) and in an assisted-living facility. Phil Robertson (79), Reality Show Star (Duck Dynasty) - Alzheimer’s and Blood Disease Wendy Williams (60), Broadcaster - suffers from Bruce Willis Disease (aphasia and frontotemporal dementia) Leonard Peltier (81), Activist - Failing health in prison, multiple bouts of Covid; his death would be big news in the US William Daniels (98) - Actor (Boy Meets World) and voice actor (KITT from “Night Rider”), Old and starting to really struggle with speaking and memory

apparently he and his brother were struck and killed by a drunk driver while they were biking. they were both in Salem County to be groomsmen for their sister Katie's wedding, which would have been held 4 hours from now. i can't even imagine what their family is going through
-
i assume the next hit will be someone i've never heard of, so I went with Desmond Morris
-
did she go out with a bang? in all seriousness, she was a treasure rest easy, Ruth!
