Looks like we do have hit No.8: German actor and voice actor Thomas Reiner has died on July 27th, 2024.

The obituary was published yesterday:

To be honest, I had never heard of him before he was suggested for the list.

She was the first person to receive the first corona vaccination administered in Germany in December 2020: Edith Kwoizalla, who was 101 years old at the time.

She died on June 9, 2024 at the age of 105.
In 2022, she was ranked 49th on our D-A-CH list, so she is to be seen as another miss :(

Yes, sadly that mistake cost her a supercentenarian status.

Interview with 102-year old Austrian writer/director/producer Georg Troller:

Just so we don't forget him. He seems well enough now though.

Just a quick question: Are there any other* Germans, Austrians or Swiss people in this forum?
(*apart from the usual suspects ;))

I'm a naturalised Austrian, living in Vienna.

Liselotte Pulver turns 95 and the BILD article makes her sound still pretty lively:

Through this article I got to know that Horst Janson suffered a brain bleeding in August:

Georg Koch gives his "final interview":

Doesn't look too terrible if that photo is recent. Maybe it's enough to live into 2025.

Found this update; he's attending a charity event on Saturday and expecting that this is the final time that he will see many of his friends/ex-colleagues.

Christiane König, German actress in the 50's who got blacklisted because she refused to enter in a relationship with a producer, dead at 92 in Spain. Her most famous film is The Girls from Immenhof where she played the oldest sister. She outlived all the actresses that played the sisters

Another german with sepsis, conductor Justus Frantz:

https://www.t-online.de/unterhaltung/stars/id_100389552/star-dirigent-justus-frantz-schwebte-nach-sepsis-in-lebensgefahr.html

Already had him as an Idea for 2019 after another "I nearly died" episode:

Well now Justus Frantz is copying Michael Tilson Thomas with a brain tumour and an aneurysm:

https://www.t-online.de/unterhaltung/stars/id_100509656/justus-frantz-stardirigent-beendet-karriere-wegen-tumor-diagnose.html

He'll be going on a final tour and isn't sure if he survives next year. But it's also not yet known what kind of tumour it is. And after all, Tilson Thomas is still alive.
