He only passed away last night.

If he died in 1978 he wouldn't have been able to perform the 2019 Rockin' Race festival in Spain

I know, the whole internet is full of misinformation. And information.

 

Don't know what went wrong at the secondhandsongs site, they are normally fairly reliable.

If you want perspective for how great a WTF still alive Duane Eddy was, the 60s radio host I listen to each morning likes to recount birthdays of living and dead. On Eddy's birthday a few days ago, he started saying "sadly this person is no longer with us", went into a talk about Duane Eddy's birthday, and didn't mention anyone who was actually dead at the time.

 

An omen it turns out. RIP.
