May I ask you to change some of your candidates?

According to the rules, each laureate can be chosen only once. Thank you!

Any particular one? I thought I double checked to make sure nobody else had used them.

Edit - Changed my choices as people previously picked others.

Two in, two more to change: I am very sorry, but Markowitz and Yunus were already chosen as well.

Ok hang on. I even checked the bloody spreadsheet and did ctrl F to make sure they were not picked.

Schirin Ebadi, Paul Robert Milgrom should be good. I nearly got bitter and attempted to kill Obama but thought against it.

Please wait before you do something like this until February 1st! I have not made my choices and Obama is still an option.

Please keep an eye on the chart above in case I miss some hit.

Good luck to all contestants!

According to some news wires, Luc Montagnier, 2008 Nobel laureate in Medicine/Physiology from France, who was honored for discovering the HI-Virus, has died aged 89:

https://www.francesoir.fr/societe-sante/leminent-professeur-luc-montagnier-sest-eteint-le-8-fevrier-2022

IF IT IS NOT A HOAX, he would be the first pick of our pool, who dies, earning Salmon Mousse 2.730 points!

As mentioned elsewhere, Sidney Altman dead.

Thank you very much!

As far as I see, he would have been worth 3.530 points (as an Aoctogenarian chemistry laureate from the 1980s).

Since he was not chosen by anyone, there will be no score.

As mentioned elsewhere, a hit for @chilean way with Ben Roy Mottelson dead.

Yes, indeed. Congrats from the host.

Mottelson was a 95-year-old Danish nuklear physicist, who shared his 1975 Nobel Prize in physics with Leo Rainwater and Aage Bohr, the son of the better known Nils.
He scores 1.420 points for @chilean way, who I ask to choose a new candidate in physics.

Mottelson is currently the oldest hit in the contest, so there is one possible bonus point. But there is time left for one older to die.

Whoever will choose David Baltimore as a hit, will score bonus points too, since he is now the last surviving laureate from 1975.
