arghton 6,763 Posted November 3, 2023 M. Russell Ballard (Russell Ballard for search purposes) the oldest quorum member and Acting President of the Quorum recently hospitalised for respiratory problems but already discharged. 95 years old and rumored to be in failing health for a while, allegedly with dementia and other ailments. Third most senior apostle following RMN and ultra-hardliner Dallin Oaks.

Commtech Sio Bibble 2,057 Posted June 2 Planning his 100th birthday for later this year, starting to look a bit more his age but unless he pulls a Betty White I think he'll make it through 2024.
Commtech Sio Bibble 2,057 Posted September 9 His big 100th birthday celebration was live-streamed by the Mormon church on Youtube, it's over 2hrs long but from skipping through he appears to be sat down the entire time. His big thank you speech (at 2 hours 2 mins 38 seconds) was prerecorded and although he seems slow he's speaking perfectly well, but maybe he isn't fit enough to speak live publicly for long periods of time anymore. He seems physically fine, there's a moment just before the video ends when he's throwing and kicking few balloons from his chair. I still think he's got nothing to worry about.

At least we know he has some level of hand-eye coordination left - probably a little better than me actually.
drol 11,974 Posted September 14 Some days ago a mentally challenged person was insisting Nelson was dead on wiki, basing himself on bot aggregators. It took Ulitzer to send him to fuck off for good. The longevity of these folks is impressive. Oaks and Eyring just seem eternal. Jeffrey R. Holland is doing well too after gigantic health issues.

Another one on my radar in Quinn G. McKay (wiki), academic and minor leader in the Church. His father was the cousin of former LDS President David O. McKay (1873–1970). Also a WWII veteran. He'll be 98 next month.
